One News Now

Today I would like to direct your focus to a very fun, hilarious even, website called One News Now (http://www.onenewsnow.com/). This site is affiliated (owned, perhaps) by the idiotic American Family Association (http://www.afa.net/) about which I wrote before. Now, while AFA is the activist part of the organisation, One News Now is the so-called non -partial news organisation.

So why is this funny? Well, for two reasons (please go over there and have a look, and you'll know exactly what I'm talking about). First of all, the way they present their news, is a way of always making sure their own believes and statements come across, no matter what the original article said. The regularly change AP headlines to fit their own needs, they add comments from people with absolutely no authority on the subject, and they even change words, like consequently changing the word 'gay' into 'homosexual' (I guess they see the latter as some sort of name-calling).

One thing that's apparent immediately, is the fact the consequently everything the Democrats do, is wrong, and everything the Republicans do, is no less than fabulous. So much for being unbiased... The weird thing is that ONN, being affiliated to AFA, has a tax exempt, meaning they should not favor any of the two parties. (I could be wrong about this, not knowing American law that particular, so if I am, please ignore above statement).

The second reason I really love ONN, is the fact that readers can leave comments on the articles. Allthough there are always a couple of people like me actually making comments that make sense, that's not the reason for the fun of these statements. The good thing is, there are many people who believe everything this website sttes, and basically live in the Stone Age when it comes to their worldview. I'll give you a few examples of what your average ONN reader believes:

- Oil is a fuel the world will never run out of, since the planet is able to produce it continuesly
- American constitution should be re-written in order to comply with the Bible
- Israel has a holy right to the country the're occupant of, and Palestins should not complain

This is just a random pick out of several thousand hilarious comments. So, if you want to have some fun, please visit ONN!
