Party time

The weekend has been great (don't I say this every week? I guess I'm just really into my weekends) with loads of things to do. Friday I left the office really early, so that I could get a jump started of three days of fun. I went to Cleopatra to have a couple of beers, which was nice.

When I got home, I watched my new DVD Brokeback Mountain, which my mother gave to me last week. I really love that movie, and I think it deserved any Oscar it got! The only strange part about it now, is that of course Heath Ledger has passed away in real life. I't's weird watching someone who has just recently died, but then again, it's not as if it's a happy movie in the first place, so I guess it kinda fits the mood in a strange morbid way.

Saturday I woke up quite early, cause I needed to do some shopping. Leendert was throwing his going away party, and Sunday it was my sister's birthday, so both of them of course needed presents. When I got downtown, it seemed as if the entire north of the Netherlands, and then some (Germany?) had decided to also come to Groningen. It was way too crowded for dunshopping, so I just bought my presents and went straight back home.

Saturday evening I went to Leendert's party which was great. The bad thing was, the booze was free, so as you can imagine we were all pretty much loaded by midnight.

Sunday morning my parents came over to bring me my new microwave and take me to my sister's birthday. The whole family was there, I guess for the first time since Christmas, so it was a nice afternoon. Got back home at about dinnertime, so I ordered some Chinese and watched the James Bond movie Dr. No, also new in my DVD collection. As you may know, I'm a big fan of James Bond movies, so I'm happy the collection is growing almost weekly nowadays.

So, I've fone plenty of things, and generally had a good time. Can't wait for the next weekend!
