Of course it's all over the news already, but I would like to mention it here as well: Hillary Clinton has won the primaries in the two defining states Ohio and Texas. Had she lost, she wouldn't have any chance in securing the Democratic nomination for the Presidential election in November, so her victory this week has made the race all the more exciting.
To tell you the truth, I don't really care anymore if Obama or Clinton wins for the Democrats. The most important thing is that a Demcorat wins the general elections, be it Barack or Hillary. Now tha Huckabee has stepped out of the GOP race, the only Republican left is McCain, who I hope doesn't stand a chance after the disaster George W. Bush has left the United States in.
The next defining primary is weeks from now (Pennsylvania) so the race will continue to be exciting, with millions of campaign money being thrown in from all sides. It's days like this I wish I was an American, so that I could get a front row seet. In fact, I feel kinda sorry for my friend Leendert, who lands in Houston for the first leg of his trip around the world today. Did he leave one day earlier, he would have landed right into the circus that surrounded the Texan primaries yesterday. Ah well, we can't have it all...
