You want a piece of her?

Although usually I kinda laugh about all the gossip stories, today, for the first time, I actually felt sorry for Britney Spears. I was watching some footage from earlier this week, you know the images of her yelling 'I'm scared' to the throng of photographers, and I just felt really bad for her. Add up to that the suicide note she is said to have written, and I think this has gone beyond comedy.

The weirdest thing is: Britney Spears is actually younger than I am. When Baby One More Time came out, I thought she was going to be the new Madonna after a couple of years in showbizz. Boy, was I wrong... I think everything went pretty well for her up until In The Zone, but after that? I think she should have never hooked up with Kevin Federline, much less have kids with him. Since she didn't have a normal childhood of her own, how can she have a normal perspective on bringing up children. To draw the obvious comparison: although Madonna's mother died when Madonna was just a child, she didn't have a weird showbizz news, getting famous not before her twenties.

Not so with Britney, who has spend her entire childhood in the spotlights, thanks to that hungry whore mother of hers. I think the inevitable has happened and the fame has backfired on Britney. The media, once crowning her the pop princess, now loves hating her and ridiculing her. I have to admit, I read the stories, all of them. I don't know what I should think of them and what to believe. What I do know is that no one deserves such a lack of privacy and respect Britney is experiencing right now. I would really hope for the media to just back off for her while, and let her get her act together.
