It's always a sad moment when a well-loved co-worker leaves the company to start a career elsewhere. Today this was exactly what happened with my office roommate. There was a dinner (which I couldn't attend due to other obligations) and a drink that I could go to. Weird, to actually be saying goodbye again. Of course, you promise to stay in touch and go and have drinks together in the future, but do you really? I don't know. I hope so, but there's really no telling if it will work out or not.
When my former office roommate left, she and I stayed in touch very well and we still do, so it is definitely possible! I hope the same goes for this particular roommate!
