Mum-of-three Natalie Hall, 25, went away for a family wedding leaving her children's pet Colin in his hutch.
When she returned home she discovered that the one-year-old bunny's ears were missing — apart from one inch stumps and singed hair.
Appalled RSPCA inspectors have now launched an investigation into the horror as the rabbit recovers from its grisly ordeal.
Since I have a pet rabbit myself, I am particularly appalled by this horrible act of animal abuse.
