Shortage of water

Because one of the main pipelines around Groningen crashed yesterday, we spend part of the day entirely without water. It all started when I woke up, to find out I couldn't take a shower, and couldn't make myself a cup of tea. So I went to work, being stupid enough to think we'd have water there, which of course wasn't the case.

The supermarkets ran out of bottled water as early as 9 in the morning, but luckily enough my office bought hundreds of them, so we didn't have to die from thirst. Funny though, how a little inconvenience like this makes people stockpile their goods as if nuclear war is about the break out. People really acti as if it's some kind of disaster, while in the end it was only for a couple of hours, and institutions like hospitals, where water is critical, had their own supplies. In other words: there was no danger at all.

Anyway, water is back on again, except we still can't drink it cause it might be polluted. It feels a bit like camping, I like it!
