Meet her at the crossroads

Last night, Britney Spears' movie Crossroads was on Dutch television, so regardless of seeing it a couple of times before, of course I made myself a huge bowl of popcorn and cuddled up on the couch. I'm a bit ashamed to say I actually like this movie very much...

Anyway, this time around of course it was a little different watching it, since we all know what's happening to Britney currently. It's really strange to realise this movie is only, what, 4 years old? Back in those days, it seemed as if Britney was doing just fine, allthough of course we'll never know what went on backstage. For all I know she could be doing drugs in her dressingroom every day, but at least she was able to control, or even conceal it back then. And, of course, she didn't have her kids by that time, so whatever she did to herself, it was only herself who was involved.

So news came out yesterday Britney isn't in hospital anymore, which I think is a real shame, cause she definitely needs treatment. This whole thing could escalate into Janis Joplin-esque proportions. I sure hope it won't, I wanna see a Crossroads sequel!
