Since I'm not taking any sort of vacation during the holidays, my only day off has been New Year's Day (besides, Christmas, of course). It's been a great day. I woke up with much less of a hangover than expected, so I must have done something right the night before. So, I texted Ziena to ask her if she and her boyfriend were in the mood for toasting on the new year. They were, so we went to this lovely place called Stadtlander to have a beer.
After the drinks, we went out for dinner. Had a delicious turkey dish, which kinda made me feel like it was Thanksgiving (which is of course not a holiday in Holland, but still...). After that, I went home to watch fabulous drama series Dirt, starring Courteney Cox. I already knew this new show was a big hit on US cable station FX, so I was anxiously looking forward to it. The hype wasn't an overstatement: I love it! I sure know what I'll be doing with my Thuesday nights from now on!
Today, of course, I had to go back to work, which wasn't bad at all. The first working day of a new year is always great fun, you know, seeing all your co-workers again. Also, it was a very busy day, so it sort of flew by. Tonight, Bridget Jones - The Edge Of Reason comes on telly. I've got it on DVD, so it's incredibly stupid to go watch it on tv, with commercials and all, but I'm still going to. Just don't tell anyone hehe.
