Newlyweds

The wedding has been absolutely perfect! Despite of the horrendous weather yesterday, today was fine, so at about 2.45 we all waited in front of the Martinikerk for the soon to be newlyweds to arrive. At about 3 we went in, after which Anneke and Dirk entered. Both the bride and the groom looked great, and it was just lovely to seem them in a setting like this. The 'official' ceremony was nice, and not all of us could hold the tears down (surprisingly, I could, although I was right on the edge).

After the ceremony, we went to restaurant Feythuys for the reception. It was great seeing all of Anneke's family again, since I used to come over there regularly while we were still in high school.Also, there were some old friends slash acquintances who I hadn't seen for some time, so there was lots of catching up to do.

After the reception, we went to restaurant Zevende Hemel to have dinner. As the rest of the day, everything was planned out perfectly and the food was just lovely. So now I'm home, pretty stuffed I must say, but I sure can look back on a great day!
